Our Mission

The standard of care started as someone's trial.

Southeastern Clinical Research is the dedicated trials arm of Nephrology Associates, PC. We exist to bring rigorously studied, next-generation kidney therapies to the people of the CSRA, years before they reach general practice, without ever compromising the safety, dignity, or consent of the patients who make that progress possible.

Every study is governed by an independent Institutional Review Board, run by a Good Clinical Practice trained team, and overseen by the same board-certified nephrologists who care for our patients every day. Research here is not separate from care. It is an extension of it.

Therapeutic Areas

Where our research is focused.

Our investigators concentrate on the conditions that drive the greatest burden of kidney disease across the Southeast.

01

Chronic Kidney Disease

Disease-modifying therapies aimed at slowing progression and protecting function across CKD stages.

Progression
02

Diabetic Nephropathy

Trials of agents that protect the diabetic kidney, including next-generation SGLT2 and non-steroidal MRA pathways.

Metabolic
03

Cardiorenal Protection

Studies at the intersection of heart and kidney disease, where the two most often fail together.

Cardiorenal
04

Glomerular Disease

Investigational immunomodulatory therapy for IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, and FSGS.

Immune
05

Anemia & Mineral Bone

Novel approaches to the anemia and mineral-bone complications that accompany advanced kidney disease.

Complications
06

Resistant Hypertension

Trials targeting the difficult-to-control blood pressure that accelerates kidney decline.

Vascular
Why Participate

Care that looks forward.

Joining a study is a personal decision, and an entirely voluntary one. For many of our patients, it means closer monitoring, more time with the care team, and a chance to help the next person with kidney disease.

01First access

Carefully selected investigational therapies, years before they reach general use.

02Close monitoring

Additional labs, visits, and study-team attention throughout your participation.

03No-cost study care

Study-related visits, tests, and the investigational therapy are provided at no cost.

04Always your choice

Participation is voluntary, fully consented, and you may withdraw at any time.

Enrolling Now

Current studies, at a glance.

A snapshot of representative trials. Specific eligibility is confirmed by our study team. Listings update as protocols open and close.

Phase 3 · Enrolling

CKD Progression

A randomized study of a disease-modifying agent in adults with stage 3–4 chronic kidney disease and proteinuria.

Phase 3 · Enrolling

Diabetic Kidney Disease

Evaluating a next-generation therapy to slow decline of kidney function in type 2 diabetes.

Phase 2 · Screening

IgA Nephropathy

An investigational immunomodulator for biopsy-confirmed IgA nephropathy with persistent proteinuria.

For Referring Physicians

Refer a patient, keep the loop closed.

Refer a patient for a research evaluation and you stay informed at every step. We confirm eligibility, manage all study-related care, and report back to you directly, while your patient remains yours.
