Kidney care, refined by a partnership you can trust.
For families across Augusta and the Central Savannah River Area navigating chronic kidney disease, dialysis decisions, or a transplant pathway, we deliver evidence based answers with the clarity and presence that make a difficult journey feel possible.
A specialty partner who closes the loop.
Direct physician to physician communication, same week consults for urgent referrals, and shared visibility into the plan. We coordinate with your practice from the first elevated lab through advanced therapy.
A practice measured by how well our patients live.
The relief of being truly heard by a physician who knows your kidneys.
We practice nephrology the way medicine was meant to be practiced. Unhurried, evidence based, and built on a real understanding of the person across the table. Every diagnosis is explained in plain language. Every recommendation is medically necessary, never volume driven. Every plan is shaped to fit the life you intend to keep living.
The physicians and care team at Nephrology Associates, PC
Comprehensive nephrology, delivered with consistency.
From the first elevated lab result to advanced therapy decisions, the same physician team supports every stage of your kidney health.
Care with a name you come to know.
Eleven board-certified nephrologists lead a multidisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, dialysis specialists, dietitians, and patient coordinators who walk the long arc of kidney health with you.
The kind of practice the best in the country want to join.
We built Nephrology Associates around a simple idea. When physicians are given time, autonomy, and a team that shares their standard, patients get the best medicine in the region. If you practice that way, or want to, this is where you belong.
Unrushed visits, no volume quotas, and protected schedules that respect the work.
Physician-led decisions, an internal necessity review, and a culture that backs your judgment.
KDIGO and ASN aligned pathways, continuing education, and mentorship at every stage.
A region that trusts this practice, a team that stays, and a life worth building here.
Care close to home, across the CSRA.
The difference is in how we listen.
For the first time in two years, I left a kidney appointment feeling like someone had actually explained what was happening, and what I could do about it. They partnered with me.

When I faced the choice between home dialysis and in-center, my doctor walked me through every option with patience, and trusted me with the decision.

Specialized nephrology, in network across the CSRA.
If it concerns your kidneys, we have the depth.
A clear path from uncertainty to a plan.

A center of excellence is built by the people in it.
For more than three decades, families across the CSRA have turned to us when their kidney health needed a steady hand. That reputation is not a marketing line. It is the daily result of hiring well, practicing responsibly, and refusing to compromise on time with patients.
We protect the conditions that make great medicine possible.
New-patient visits run 45 to 60 minutes. We do not double-book. Your appointment time is genuinely yours, and so is your patient's.
Every recommended procedure passes an internal necessity review. We back your judgment and measure outcomes, not volume.
Pathways built on KDIGO and ASN guidelines, reviewed quarterly, with mentorship and continuing education for every clinician.
An integrated CSRA network, direct hospital and transplant relationships, and a community that has trusted this practice for a generation.
We practice medicine, and help write it.
Through Southeastern Clinical Research, our physicians serve as principal and site investigators on the trials that define modern nephrology, from SPRINT to DAPA-CKD to the Vadadustat anemia program. Practicing here means a career where excellent patient care and published, practice-changing research happen under one roof.

I came here for the medicine and stayed for the science. Few private practices let you see your own patients in clinic and investigate the next standard of care in the same week. That combination is rare, and it makes you a better physician.

Southeastern Clinical Research.
Advancing the next generation of kidney care for the Central Savannah River Area, where rigorous, ethically governed nephrology trials give our patients first access to tomorrow's therapies.
The standard of care started as someone's trial.
Southeastern Clinical Research is the dedicated trials arm of Nephrology Associates, PC. We exist to bring rigorously studied, next-generation kidney therapies to the people of the CSRA, years before they reach general practice, without ever compromising the safety, dignity, or consent of the patients who make that progress possible.
Every study is governed by an independent Institutional Review Board, run by a Good Clinical Practice trained team, and overseen by the same board-certified nephrologists who care for our patients every day. Research here is not separate from care. It is an extension of it.
Matthew Diamond, DO · Director, Southeastern Clinical Research

Carefully selected investigational therapies, years before they reach general use.
Additional labs, visits, and study-team attention throughout your participation.
Study-related visits, tests, and the investigational therapy are provided at no cost.
Participation is voluntary, fully consented, and you may withdraw at any time.
